Rubber accelerator refers to a rubber vulcanization accelerator. The vulcanization of rubber is mainly carried out with sulfur, but the reaction between sulfur and rubber is very slow, so vulcanization accelerators appear. Adding an accelerator in the rubber compound can promote the activation of the vulcanizing agent, thereby accelerating the cross-linking reaction between the vulcanizing agent and the rubber molecules, thereby achieving the effect of shortening the vulcanization time and lowering the vulcanization temperature. The main uses of vulcanization accelerators are sulfenamides, thiazoles, thiurams, and some terpenes, thioureas and dithiocarbamates. Among them, sulfenamide has the best comprehensive performance and is the most widely used.
